Our Columbus Architecture: No visit to Columbus is complete without stopping by our Visitors Center and seeing our famous architecture, perhaps take a bus or walking tour.  Did you know that in 1991 Columbus was ranked 6th in the United States behind Boston, New York, Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco in the quality and innovation of architecture?  Use the web to visit the Visitors Center.

Golf:  There are several nearby championship golf courses to challenge you..

People Trails: Wander the People Trail of Columbus or stroll through the woodlands of Brown County State park near Nashville, IN.

Winter Fun: Try horseback riding in the hills of Brown County State Park close to  Nashville, IN or ice skating at Hamilton Center in Columbus.

Canoeing: Spend a summer afternoon drifting down the Driftwood river in a canoe from Blue's Canoe Livery.

Outlet Malls and antique shops:  Is shopping on your schedule?  Two outlet malls and numerous antique shops will engage your passion for adding to your homestead's treasures.

Museums: Local and nearby museums on history and art are sure to please cultural interests.

 

 

 

Nashville, IN:  This quaint village is located just 20 miles west of Columbus on Ind. St Rd 46.  Described as "The Art Colony of the Midwest."

Vernon, Indiana: Just a short distance south of our B&B you will find Jennings County, In and Vernon is the county seat.  The entire town of Vernon is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Muscatatuck River nearly surrounds the town making it the smallest county seat in Indiana.

John Mellencamp fan? Visit Seymour, Indiana also nearby and south of our B&B.  See the town where John grew up and whose songs paint many descriptive images of small towns like Seymour.
